Welcome to the Neural Engineering Lab in the Department of Neurosciences at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Our interdisciplinary research combines bioengineering, stem cell biology, drug delivery, bioconductive devices, and systems neuroscience to investigate mechanisms of axonal regeneration and develop strategies to enhance recovery following traumatic injury.

Our diverse team spans multiple disciplines, including neuroscience, bioengineering, biomedical sciences, chemical engineering, and medicine. All team members—postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduates—have equal opportunities to contribute to our research and develop their scientific skills and interests.

We are located in San Diego with its 31 beaches spanning across 17 miles, and its perfect weather.
